Different Worlds of Healing
Story aired: Friday, April 01, 2005

About one in three adults in the U.S. use some form of alternative medicine, but they usually don't tell their medical doctors about it. And while many major hospitals do offer some form of alternative care like mind-body centers, these two different worlds of healing are still very separate.

Dr. Ted Kaptchuk is very interested in the idea of integrative medicine. He's a doctor of Chinese medicine and an assistant professor at Harvard Medical School.

Guests:

Here and Now's Dr. Terry Schraeder speaks with Dr. Kaptchuk about alternative medical care.
