Congressman Rips Haliburton
Story aired: Wednesday, March 16, 2005

A Defense Department audit shows oil-services company Halliburton may have overcharged the government by more than $100 million for work done in Iraq.

The report examined a section of a $2.5 billion dollar no-bid contract for fuel transport and repairs of Iraqi oil facilities done by Halliburton subsidiary Kellogg, Brown and Root.

California Congressman Henry Waxman released the audit summary, and he's calling on the White House to make audits of other Halliburton contracts public.

He spoke with Here and Now's Bob Oakes just moments ago from the House Floor.
