A wall covered with the posters urging Iraqis to vote (AP)
Getting out the Vote in Iraq
Story aired: Friday, January 28, 2005

Two days ahead of historic elections in Iraq, officials there say they've captured three more close associates of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, whose group has vowed to kill anyone who takes part in Sunday's vote.

The group posted a video on the internet Thursday showing the murder of a candidate from Iraqi Prime Minister Alawi's party.

Candidates aren't the only ones feeling insecure -- voters and the Iraqis running the elections are as well.

Guests:

Abdul Salam al-Medeni who trains election workers in the northern part of Iraq.

Borzou Daragahi, who reports for The Boston Globe and the Canadian Broadcasting Company.
